Sinopse

A collection of eight short stories told in the Science Fiction, Slipstream, Horror, and Human Interest genres. Slipstream is a kind of fantastic or non-realistic fiction that crosses conventional genre boundaries between science fiction, fantasy, horror, and literary fiction -- Think: X Files, Twilight Zone, Outer Limits. Slipstream has also been defined as the fiction of strangeness, the surreal, the not-entirely-real, or the markedly anti-real. While some slipstream stories employ elements of science fiction, horror or fantasy, not all do. Some say that cognitive dissonance is at the heart of slipstream, this author adds the metaphorical as another literary effect of slipstream. Each story carries a message about our human condition and how everyday people (the characters) overcome huge challenges.
